Please join the WBI for our monthly women’s business networking event at Wunderkind, located in the Ravenna neighborhood of Northeast Seattle. Topics and speakers change every month. Our focus is on women in business, but everyone is welcome to join.

OCTOBER TOPIC: “So You Think You Want To Freelance” with a talk led by career coach Becca Ribbing.

Becca Ribbing has been a career coach for 10 years. She has helped countless people get jobs, but she has also helped many people decide to go out on their own instead of getting another “real” job. Her goal is to help people create careers that they love — and for many people, that means coming up with paths that allow for more flexibility and autonomy.

Talk Details: Freelancing can be amazing. You have a lot of flexiblity and can be paid very well. But it also comes with its own challenges. In “So You Think You Want to Freelance?” we will be focusing on getting started strong. This talk is for people who are truly just getting started or who just really want to ramp up their client base. Get ideas about where to start and what to do next. It truly is possible to do what you love, on your own terms, and actually make ends meet. Becca can show you how!

Childcare Available for $5 per child in the fun and fabulous Wunderkind play space on the main floor. Please plan to bring your child, ages 18 months to 5 years, a few minutes early to help them settle in comfortably.
Younger children need to stay with their parents, but are still welcome!

As an added bonus, we will have pizza available so no need to worry about dinner for you and the kids.

$25 Suggested Donation – All donations will go towards our plans of leasing our own space to have full-time coworking with onsite childcare available for all! We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and donations are tax deductible.

To pay using a card, please purchase tickets through Eventbrite. Cash/check will also be accepted at the door.

Please make sure to sign up in advance especially if you are in need of childcare.
